Home Hello and welcome to York Youth Council. We are a group of passionate young people who want to make York better for everyone especially children and young people. Our vision is to empower young people to have a voice and influence decision makers. If you are aged 11-18 and live or go to school you in York then we want you to get involved. You can come along to one of our meetings on Wednesdays at West Offices from 5.15pm until 7.00pm or get in touch to let us know of any issues or views you may have. For more information please email firstname.lastname@example.org Each year we support schools and youth organisations to take part in the national UK Youth Parliament ‘Make Your Mark’ ballot. This year, young people in York voted for Mental Health, Ending Knife Crime and Homelessness as the issues most important to them. We are also proud to share with you our new animation created to encourage young people to get involved and have their voices heard. We are supported by the Local Area Teams at City of York Council, who help to organise and facilitate meetings and events.
